It’s a Dirty Job

In the state of Utah there aren’t many licensed kitchen hood cleaning companies, at least not compared to the number of fire protection, pressure washing, and professional cleaning companies around the state. Even though kitchen hood cleaning relates to all 3 listed industries, it’s a unique niche that not many people are aware of or involved in.

It’s hard enough to find people who want to get down and a dirty, that are okay with a little dirt under their fingernails, but many draw the line at kitchen hood cleaning. Maybe it’s the late night and early morning hours, the grease that gets on everything and is difficult to get away from, or the fact that cleaning some of your favorite restaurants makes them a not so favorite anymore.

It’s a dirty job that not everybody wants to do, but somebody has got to do it. Kitchen hood cleaning is a regulated industry in the state of Utah, overseen by the state fire marshal, and governed by NFPA 96. There are rules and procedures that must be followed, so not only is it dirty but now it’s critical that the cleaning is done per code and local requirements.

Why get involved with such a regulated and dirty job? Because we love it! At Alpha Hoods we crave the challenge of cleaning the dirtiest hoods. We aren’t afraid of a good challenge or fight. If you know of a nasty hood with so much grease someone could drown in it, let us know, we can’t wait to wash it away.
